New Porsche president and chief executive officer Matthias Müller has confirmed that the new 918 Spyder hybrid supercar is on track for a 2013 delivery. Speaking to CAR at the 2010 Paris motor show, Müller said the engineering programme was on time and that the 918 would stay faithful to the concept car revealed in March this year. ‘We are doing [engineering] concept work on the 918 at the moment and will finish at the end of 2010,’ said Müller.
You can always rely on the subject of speed limits to result in a heated debate. We only need highlight the recent furore over the government’s plans to introduce a 60mph limit on a 32-mile section of the M1 to make our point. The Rolls-Royce Ghost V-spec has been unveiled as the brand’s new performance model. Strictly, it’s not a powered-up, hard-core model in the vein of, say, a Nissan Skyline V-Spec (though wouldn’t that be wonderful?), but a special edition to celebrate the Ghost’s fifth birthday. So don’t expect to see this Ghost hauling itself around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in the near future.
